Plants have always been fascinating to me. While I wasn’t crazy about weeding our giant strawberry patch as a kid, now any gardening work is therapy to me.
My first career was as a photographer. After a bit of burnout I decided to take a break from photography so I took a job at a garden center- something I had always wanted to do. There is no job that I have ever loved more. It was the atmosphere, the activity, the people I met and all the fascinating things I learned. I devoured every bit of information I could get my hands on.
Several years in, I decided to go to school for horticulture. The goal was to go on to grad school for something high-brow like plant population genetics, or some such technical thing. The one thing I was NOT going to do was landscape because I did not want to deal with other people’s crappy soil and weed problems. Well… life loves irony. A whole bunch of life happened and I ended up starting a gardening business with a friend. More life happened and I went out on my own to start a business absolutely focused on regenerative landscaping. It turns out landscaping has been fulfilling to my soul. There is no better feeling than turning around at the end of the day and physically seeing and touching all that you accomplished in your days work. It is beyond rewarding. -Now I LOVE soil!
This site is dedicated to all of the discovery and learning I have made throughout my career. I feel that the regenerative components are vitally important to carrying landscaping into the future. I hope that you enjoy learning it half as much as I did.
